Artificial graphite is considered the most suitable material for continuous or semi continuous casting molds of non-ferrous metals. Production practice has shown that the use of graphite molds not only improves the speed of the mold due to factors such as good thermal conductivity (which determines the solidification rate of metals or alloys) and self-lubricating performance of the mold, but also allows for direct processing in the next process due to the precise size, smooth surface, and uniform crystal structure of the ingot. Die casting mold:

Centrifugal graphite mold:
Graphite molds have been successfully applied in centrifugal casting. The United States has used centrifugal graphite molds with a wall thickness of 25 millimeters or more to centrifugal cast bronze sleeves. To prevent the combustion of artificial graphite molds, certain anti oxidation measures can be taken. After casting a certain number of castings, if it is found that the inner surface of the mold is burned, the size of the holes in the mold can be expanded to cast large-sized shells.
Hot pressing mold:
The artificial graphite hot stamping die has the following characteristics in the pressure sintering of hard alloys: firstly, if the pressing temperature is increased to 1350-1450 degrees, the required unit pressure can be reduced to 67-100kgf/cm2. (i.e. 1/10 of the cold pressing pressure) can be; Secondly, pressing and heating are carried out in the same process, and a compact sintered body can be obtained after a short period of sintering.
Glass mold:
As graphite material has chemical stability, is not easy to be penetrated by molten glass, and does not change the composition of glass, it has good thermal shock resistance, and its size changes little with temperature, so it has become an indispensable mold in glass manufacturing in recent years. Materials can be used to manufacture glass tubes, bends, funnels, and various other shapes of glass bottles.
