Emerson lightning protector SPD12Z/SPD11Z
function
The main functions of the lightning arrester unit are: lightning protection and overvoltage protection.
The lightning protector adopts a two-level protection mechanism to achieve two-level lightning protection on the line, effectively protecting the circuits inside the charging module from induced lightning due to the AC input circuit
Damage caused by lightning and overvoltage on the line, improving the reliability of the system.
In important applications such as large power plants and high-level substations, high reliability of the system is required. In small substations and consumer substations, they are often located in rural areas or
In mountainous areas, the probability of lightning strikes is high. For individual users, there may be power grid quality issues, namely, overvoltage. Selecting lightning protection components can avoid the above situations
System failure for.
Lightning protectors are divided into Class C and Class D lightning protectors, with different parameter indicators, as shown in the table below.
Lightning protection index
Class C lightning protector (VH40TA385M) Class D lightning protector (SPD12Z)
Large lightning impulse current 40kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s) Large lightning impulse current 20kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s)
Rated lightning impulse current 20kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s) Rated lightning impulse current 10kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s)
Interface characteristics
The interface of lightning arrester includes the following contents:
Three phase lines A, B, and C are connected to the AC power supply.
The zero line N connects the zero line or neutral line of the AC input power supply.
The lightning protection ground wire PE connects the lightning protection grounding of the system.
Z Alarm signal line (only provided with Class C lightning protector). Provide alarm signals for lightning arrester action and connect them to the PFU-12 power distribution monitoring box or monitoring unit PSM-E11.
instructions
Lightning protectors need to be inspected regularly. Especially in thunderstorm prone seasons, users should promptly conduct inspections. The following inspection shall be conducted for Class C lightning arrester.
1. Regularly check the lightning arrester varistor window. The green color of the varistor window indicates normal. When the window turns red, the entire varistor sheet should be replaced immediately.
The indicator light on the D-level lightning arrester panel indicates the working status of the lightning arrester. When any of the three LED indicators is not lit, power should be cut off for maintenance. Generally
The entire lightning protector should be replaced.
Class D lightning arrester (SPD12Z)
Large lightning impulse current 20kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s)
Rated lightning impulse current 10kA (lightning waveform 8/20 μ s)
