Product Details

Feline herpesvirus type 1 belongs to the herpesviridae family α- Herpesvirus is the pathogen of viral rhinotracheitis in cats, which can cause eye and respiratory diseases in cats and other feline animals. Cat herpesvirus can replicate and proliferate in epithelial cells and neurons of the conjunctiva and upper respiratory tract. Infection with neurogens can lead to lifelong latent infections. Chronic latent infection is a typical result of acute infection with feline herpesvirus, which is intermittently reactivated and discharges the virus into oral and nasal secretions and conjunctival secretions. This product is used to quickly detect whether cats are infected with feline herpesvirus type 1 through immunochromatographic experiments on respiratory tract secretions such as eyelids and nasopharynx of cats.

Feline plague, also known as feline panleukopenia and feline infectious enteritis, is an acute highly contagious disease of cats. The clinical manifestations are mainly characterized by sudden onset of high fever, refractory vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, circulatory disorders, and acute leukopenia (not all cases of leukopenia are feline fever, but other diseases can also cause leukopenia, such as feline leukemia, feline hepatitis, etc.). Cats that are not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated are prone to feline plague, especially kittens aged 3-5 months. "If a female cat is infected during pregnancy, it can cause stillbirth, miscarriage, and neurological symptoms in newborn kittens. The route of infection is through contact with infected urine and feces, or through bloodsucking insects and fleas.". The pathogen is a virus belonging to the family Parvoviridae and the genus Parvovirus. After the virus enters the body, it can survive in the kidneys for more than one year.

Feline calicivirus is a common upper respiratory tract infection disease in cats, with high incidence rate and low mortality. It is generally transmitted through direct contact, visible in saliva, eyelids, and nasal secretions, and can also be transmitted through contaminants. This product quickly detects whether a cat is infected with feline calicivirus through immunochromatographic experiments on respiratory tract secretions such as eyelids and nasopharynx.

Detection principle

This product uses rapid immunochromatography technology to detect FCV antigen. After adding the diluted sample to the sample adding hole of the test paper card, if there is FCV antigen in the sample, the antigen will specifically bind with the colloidal gold labeled anti FCV monoclonal antibody, forming a complex that moves along the chromatographic membrane, and is captured by the pre coated FCV monoclonal antibody on the chromatographic membrane, forming a wine red detection line at the T position of the card shell. If there is no FCV antigen in the sample, no visible line will be formed at the T position. In addition, a C line is also designed in the system to verify the effectiveness of the experiment. Regardless of the negative or positive results, the line should be colored, otherwise it will be considered an invalid result.
