IS420UCSBH4A is an available controller for GE Mark VIe systems. This is one of the last Speedtronic systems released by GE to manage industrial gas and steam turbines. IS420UCSBH4A is one of five UCSB controllers that can be used in Mark VIe systems. It is a quad core controller that provides high performance and optimum reliability. The unit is built around the QNX Neutrino operating system running on the 1066 MHz Intel EP80579 microprocessor. The system uses Boolean logic control block language in relay ladder format. This format supports Boolean logic as well as 16 - and 32-bit signed and unsigned integers and 32-bit and 64 bit floating-point programming.IS420UCSBH4A weighs 2.4 pounds and is designed to operate in the ambient temperature range of - 22 to+149 degrees Fahrenheit. Volume 1 of GE Manual GEH-6721 will provide more information about the technical requirements and environmental limitations of this equipment.IS420UCSBH4A can support interoperable redundant configuration, and different platform types work together in the redundancy concentration. This means that if a controller group fails, the operator can replace it with the same or different supported controller types while the process is running without losing factory control. IS420UCSBH4A is compatible with UCSCH2A controllers. Instructions on how to replace a controller in a redundancy group can be found in GE publications GEH-6700 or GEH-6703.
