Aircraft decoration should use non-combustible or flame retardant materials, as little as possible combustible, flammable materials. On the basis of ensuring the comfortable and beautiful interior decoration of the aircraft, pay attention to meet certain fire protection requirements. According to relevant military and aviation standards, aircraft manufacturers strictly control and select raw materials and components.
FAR 25.853 Standard for Fire Testing of Aeronautical materials
FAA.FAR25.853 (CCAR 25.853 of China) has made requirements on cabin materials and seat cushions respectively, and detailed regulations are described in Appendix F. Including ⅰ, ⅱ, ⅲ, ⅳ and ⅴ parts:
ⅰ refers to the requirements, methods and judgment of material ignition performance test. This part is the main experimental part of FAR 25.853: horizontal combustion, vertical combustion, 45 degree Angle combustion, 60 degree Angle combustion.
ⅱ is about the combination test of aircraft seat cushion. It should be pointed out that the test of aircraft seat cushion not only requires raw materials to meet the requirements of ⅰ in Appendix F, but also needs to pass the combination test of ⅱ to be considered as passing the test.
ⅲ is a test method for flame penetration resistance of cargo compartment gaskets, including cargo compartment sidewall and ceiling gaskets.
ⅳ is an experiment to determine the heat release rate of cabin materials under thermal radiation. Requirements: The average value of total heat dissipation does not exceed 65 kw.min /M2, and the peak heat release rate does not exceed 65 Kw.m2.
ⅴ is the test method for determining the smoke emission characteristics of materials. The smoke production is quantified according to the optical density reading, and the average Ds is not more than 200.
