Description of TPS62172
The TPS6217x device family is an easy-to-use synchronous buck DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The typical switching frequency of this series of devices is as high as 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small inductors ™ Topology technology provides fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy.
This series of devices has a wide operating input voltage range of 3V to 17V, which is very suitable for systems powered by lithium ion or other batteries and 12V intermediate power rails. Its output voltage is 0.9V to 6V, supporting continuous output current up to 0.5A (using 100% duty cycle mode).
In addition, power sequencing can be realized by configuring enable pin and open drain power normal state pin.
In the energy-saving mode, the device can generate a quiescent current of about 17 µ A according to the input voltage (VIN). When the load is small, the energy-saving mode can be automatically and seamlessly entered, while the mode can maintain high efficiency throughout the load range. The device is in the off state in the off mode, during which the current loss is less than 2 µ A.
The device is available in adjustable and fixed output voltage versions in a 2mm x 2mm 8-pin WSON package (DSG).
