It is widely used in cooling towers, especially in industrial cooling towers, to increase the contact area between hot water and air and to extend the time of water flow, thus to help reduce the water temperature quickly.

If the unit roll weight is 15kgs, the round PP fill roll diameter is 1000mm, then we can load 1500kgs in a 20 feet container. The reason of the same weight but with different roll diameters is that the PP material is less flexible and larger hardness than the PVC material.

In counter flow SW cooling towers, the air flows vertically upward, counter to the flow of falling water in the fill.

The important key is that the working temperature of cooling tower fills, PP fill is for high working temperature 85 degrees MAX and PVC fill is for normal working temperature 55 degrees MAX.
