Product Introduction 

Stainless steel filter elements are made up of several layers of 304 or 316 mesh that are sintered together to form an integrated porous element. The middle mesh is of very fine gauge and determines the filtration efficiency of the elements. This layer is then overlaid with inner and outer layers of coarser mesh, to give support and protection.

The elements are a typical surface filter and the contaminants are retained on the surface of the filtration layer, this makes cleaning and back flushing a simple process. These filter elements should be ultrasonically cleaned to give best results.

Detailed description of the Stainless steel wire mesh sintered filter

Sintered wire mesh is made form multiple layers of woven wire mesh panel together using a sintering process. This process combines heat and pressure to permanently bond multi-layers of mesh together. The same physical process used to fuse individual wires together within a layer of wire mesh is also be used to fuse adjacent layers of mesh together. This creates a unique material offering excellent mechanical properties. It is ideal material for purification and filtration. It may be from 5, 6 or 7 layers of wire mesh

The follow picture shows a stainless steel sintered wire mesh panel made form five different layers of stainless steel wire mesh combined and sintered together through vacuum sintering, compressing, and rolling, forming a porous sinter mesh.

Detailed description of the Stainless Steel Pleated Mesh Filter for Filtration

Pleated mesh filter is made of stainless steel wire mesh, or metal fiber felt, which is sintered at each wire contact point to produce a strong surface-sieving porous filter cylinder. Moreover, the filter element is pleated design that further provides large filter area, good dirt holding capacity. Double open-ended or single open-ended is available as per customers' need, threaded end is often equipped with gasket, like o-ring, to reduce the friction of the corrugated filter. Unlike unsintered mesh, pleated sintered mesh filter enables the use of finer wires to produce more pores per unit area for higher contaminant loading capacity. On the other hand, pleated sintered filter cartridge is more preferred to replace the PP filter cartridge with its back washing and reusability advantage, in applications of corrosive liquid filtration, oxidizing liquid filtration, liquid and gas filtration, etc.
