In these cases, the text string BAD.CAL appears on the secondary display. The transmitter returns to the beginning of the calibration cycle after it reports the bad calibration. An offset value of less than -20 or greater than +20 microsiemens per centimeter for a nominal sensor cell constant value of 1.00, less than -4 or greater than +4 microsiemens per centimeter for a nominal sensor cell constant value of 0.10, and less than -0.8 or greater than +0.8 microsiemens per centimeter for a nominal sensor cell constant value of 0.01 also indicates a potentially bad process calibration or poorly performing sensor.
