With a transfer connector (convert kit), the 1266A-5201 can easily replace the 1510A-5251 SX (Seperately Excited or SepEx) motor speed controller (Part Number 102806201, CURTIS Model Number 1510A-5251). The two controllers have the same installation dimension.

CURTIS 1266 controllers are separately excited motor speed controllers designed for use in a variety of transport vehicles. These programmable controllers are simple to install, efficient, and cost effective. Typical applications include golf carts and small utility vehicles.

By default, we will deliver the controller with default setting of 48V / 275A. Various throttles can be used with the 1266A-5201 controller, including 5kΩ 3-wire potentiometers, 0–5V throttles, and electronic throttles. For activating the 1313-4431 Handheld Programmer or 1314 PC Programming Station, J1-8 and J1-16 terminals should be connected to "B+" of DC power source (16.8V - vehicle system voltage); "B-" busbar should be connected to "B-" of DC power source (16.8V - vehicle system voltage).

Notice: We supply also the 1266A-5201 controller assemblage with throttle (foot pedal).
