Aluminized steel sheets are widely used.
In automobiles, it is used for heat-resistant parts of exhaust pipes, mufflers and car body parts.
Aluminized steel sheets are used in heat exchangers, furnace reflectors, furnace fuel tanks, ovens, furnace bodies, incinerators, chimneys and dryers.
Aluminized steel sheets are used in reefer containers, specialty oil tanks, cargo tanks and piping equipment.
In construction, it is used for roofs, window frames, wall panels, outdoor facilities, cabinets, household appliances, lamps, billboards and outdoor facilities.
The thickness of the aluminized steel sheet produced in the world is 0.27~2mm, the width is 558~1219mm, the length is 4 meters, and the coating thickness is 120g/㎡.
The production process of aluminized steel plate adopts the hot-dip galvanizing method, which is basically similar to the hot-dip galvanizing method. The main difference is the melting pot. The temperature of the aluminum bath is about 700°C, while the temperature of the zinc bath is only 450°C.
"Hot dip aluminum plating on steel" is a new type of coating process in which steel products are placed in aluminum liquid at a certain temperature and soaked for an appropriate time to form an alloyed aluminum layer on the steel surface.
Hot-dip aluminized steel has both the high strength of the steel matrix and the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and high temperature resistance of the aluminum layer.
Its corrosion resistance is 5-10 times that of galvanized steel, which can bring obvious economic benefits to users.
Metallographic characteristics of hot-dip aluminized steel:
Hot-dip aluminized steel achieves interatomic bonding between iron and aluminum, held together tightly by metallic bonds.
Coating thickness: If it is carbon steel, the aluminum layer is an alloy layer of 0.04-0.07mm, with an average of 0.05mm.
However, the thickness of each layer will vary depending on the type of steel, carbon content, and dipping temperature and time. If the base material is alloy steel, the plating layer is different from the above.
Application areas of hot-dip aluminum products:
Aluminized steel has many uses. The I-type aluminized steel sheet originally developed is mainly used for exhaust pipes and mufflers of automobiles. Type II is mainly used for roof slabs and side walls of buildings and some chemical containers.
The aluminized steel wire produced by the new process is expected to replace the current galvanized steel wire as the steel core stranded wire for power transmission.
Aluminized steel pipes have been widely used in power plant boiler water wall pipes, steam pipes, heat exchangers, etc. The tip of aluminized steel structure has been widely used in transmission towers, highway guardrails, etc.
