Overview

GE PON ONU provides one uplink GEPON port, 1*10/100/1000BASE-T gigabit Ethernet port and 1*10/100BASE-T fast Ethernet port, Power AC 220V or DC 48V.

The Ethernet ONU is a GEPON ONU that is primarily used in FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTO (Fiber to the Office), and FTTB (Fiber to the Building) applications. The GE PON ONU supports the 1000Base-PX10/PX20 standard with a maximum optical splitting ratio of 1:62 and a distance of 10/20km, as well as one GE PON connector. The EPON ONU in conjunction with the BD-OLT-8000 optical line terminal (OLT), can provide entire FTTx solutions by enabling flexible network structure and maintenance. With a downlink wavelength of 1490nm and an uplink wavelength of 1310nm, the GE PON ONU uses single fiber WDM technology. To transfer data, only a single-core fibre is required.

The Ethernet ONU (optical network unit) is a device that provides data service to end users in a PON (passive optical network) networking system. The basic job of the Ethernet ONU is to receive optical signals from the downlink, convert them to ethernet signals, and then transmit them to users. Receiving ethernet signals from users’ equipment or networking, converting them to optical signals, and delivering them to higher networking via the PON networking system.
