5005 aluminum alloy is similar to 3003 alloy with moderate strength and good corrosion resistance. 5005 aluminum alloy can be used as conductor, cooker, instrument panel, architectural decoration and so on.

5005 aluminum panels are commonly used for anodizing materials and deployment in architectural applications such as waterproof panels, window sills, curtain walls, etc.  Architects often specify 5005 alloy for anodized alumina construction metal products.  

The importance of using anodized mass alloys in aluminum anodizing cannot be overstated.  Anodizing is an electrochemical process that transforms metal surfaces into decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodizing treatments.  

When anodizing, the metal you start with can have a huge impact on the quality of the finished product you will receive.  For a brief description, 5005 alloy formula is used for anodic oxidation treatment of decorative buildings.  It allows for a more uniform and attractive anodic oxidation treatment than other alloys.  A good example of why 3003 aluminum should not be anodized.  

If you want an attractive and consistent surface, do not attempt to anodize aluminum alloys such as 3003 or 3105.  These alloys will exhibit defects such as structural streaks, turbidity, blemishes and extreme color changes.  

Many people substitute 5052 for 5005. Although 5052 produces acceptable results, it has more defects and is more prone to color changes than 5005 alloy aluminum.  If your application does not require good aesthetics, alloy 5052 or 6061 May be an acceptable alternative to 5005 aluminum.
