Reading the meter
The smart energy meter is equipped with 6+1 LCD display, which is used as recording consumption and can’t be reset to zero. The number system is based on units of 10. And unit is kWh.
Another way through RS485 and PC software or HHU(hand held unit)unit can read power consumption
Pulse output
Smart din rail energy meter is equipped with a pulse output which is fully separated from the inside circuit. That generates pulses in proportion to the measured energy. They are test pulse output (pins 24 & 25). Usually, the test pulse output is used as testing accuracy or reading purpose in close quarters.
The test pulse output is a polarity dependant, passive transistor output requiring an external voltage source for correct operation.
Communication port
Smart meter has equipped communication port, we can program the meter’s operation data or reading via these 2 ports.(Pin26 pin27) .

Programming
By pressing the keys “SET” starts menu programming mode.

On the smart meter display will appear : CodE followed by the currently memorized value . With the set key, you can move the cursor to the right .Use the page down and page up. page up button can setup the Number from first two digits from 00 to 25.
for example: 000 to 250
Page down button can setup the number the third digit from 0 to 9.
for example: 000 to 009
CT rate setting
On the smart meter display appear: CT followed by the currently memorized value .With the set key, you can move the cursor to the right . Use the page down and page up, you can set one of the following values:
5:5 125:5 400:5 1000:5 2500:5 7500:5
50:5 150:5 500:5 1200:5 3000:5
60:5 200:5 600:5 1500:5 4000:5
75:5 250:5 750:5 2000:5 5000:5

Close the new settings, press the “set” key

1200=1200bit/sec
2400=2400bit/sec
4800=4800bit/sec
9600=9600bit/sec

On smart meter display will appear: Addr followed by the currently memorized value
With the “Set” key, you can move the cursor to the right . With the page down and page up, you can set one of the following values:
