About
316L stainless steel:
316L is a brand of stainless steel material. AISI 316L is the corresponding American label, and Sus 316L is the corresponding Japanese label. China's standard brand is 022Cr17Ni12Mo2 (new label), the old brand is 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, which means that mainly contains Cr, Ni, Mo, figures indicate approximately the percentage. 316L stainless steel used in the pulp and papermaking equipment heat exchanger, dyeing equipment, film materials for external equipment, pipelines, coastal areas of the building and flushing, senior watch chain, case etc.. Equipment, chemicals, dyes, paper making, oxalic acid, fertilizer, etc.; equipment for photography, food industry, coastal areas, ropes, CD poles, bolts, nuts, etc..
About 316:
-Corrosion resistance
Better corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel, in the pulp and paper production process, has good corrosion resistance. Also, 316 stainless steel is also resistant to erosion by oceanic and corrosive industrial atmospheres.
-Heat resistance
316 stainless steel (06Cr17Ni12Mo2) has excellent oxidation resistance in discontinuous use at 871 degrees C (1600 degrees F) and for continuous use at 927C degrees (1700 degrees F). At 427 degrees C-857 degrees C (800 degrees F-1575 degrees F) range, it is best not to continue to use 316 stainless steel, but in the temperature range other than the continuous use of 316 stainless steel, the stainless steel has good heat resistance. 316L stainless steel has better carbide precipitation resistance than 316 stainless steel, and can be used in the above range of temperature.

Applications
316 and 316L stainless steel is widely used in pulp and paper equipment heat exchangers, dyeing equipment, film washing equipment, pipelines, coastal areas outside the building materials, marine, industrial air field. Also used in the field of solenoid valve, mainly used in the shell, clamp, ball, valve body, valve seat, nut, stem and so on. 316L stainless steel also has good resistance to chloride corrosion, so it is often used in marine environment. What’s more, with good welding performance, can use all standard welding method for welding.
