- This apparatus is used to determine the shearing strength of the soil. Generally, to shear four specimens with horizontal shear force under different vertical pressure respectively, obtain the shearing strength when the soil specimen destructed, then according to the Coulomb law to determine the anti-shear strength coefficient, internal friction angle and cohesive force.
