Environment Requirements Our infrared spectrometers and accessories are designed for indoor use from 0 to 2000 meters (or 650 feet) above sea level. Their reliable operating temperature is between 16 ° C and 25 ° C (60 ° F - 78 ° F). It can be temporarily placed in an environment below -10 ° C (eg during transportation) without reducing its reliability. Please keep the indoor air humidity range from 20% to 50%. FTIR infrared spectroscopy instruments need to work in a dry environment because the beam splitters, detectors, and other components may be corroded by moisture. In a humid environment, only the desiccant is not able to completely protect the optics inside the instrument. Therefore, when using an infrared spectrometer in a humid environment, use a dehumidifier to control the humidity in the room.
