What is bridge support?

Rubber support refers to a supporting component that supports the weight of a container or equipment and fixes it in a certain position. Rubber bearings are closely combined with rubber and thin steel plates, which are not only used to support the weight of bridges, but also can bear vibration and earthquake loads during operation.

Classification and application of rubber bearings

Plate rubber support

Plate rubber bearings not only have excellent technical performance, but also have the characteristics of simple structure, low price, maintenance-free, easy replacement, shock absorption, low building height and so on. They are common products in small and medium-sized highway bridges, which are divided into ordinary plate rubber bearings and tetrafluoride plate rubber bearings.

Ordinary plate rubber bearing

Commonly used plate rubber bearings mainly include rectangular plate rubber bearings and circular plate rubber bearings. Different plane shapes are suitable for different bridge span structures: rectangular bearings of orthogonal bridges, circular bearings of curved bridges, inclined bridges and cylindrical pier bridges.

Ordinary circular plate rubber bearing

Ordinary plate rubber bearing not only has enough rigidity to bear vertical load, and can reliably transfer the reaction force of superstructure to piers and platforms, but also has good elasticity, can adapt to the rotation of beams, and has large shear deformation to meet the horizontal displacement of superstructure. In addition, ordinary plate rubber bearing has good seismic effect, which can reduce the influence of live load and seismic force on buildings, and is suitable for bridges with span less than 30m and small displacement.

Teflon rubber support

Teflon board with a thickness of 2-3mm is coated on the surface of the common board rubber support to manufacture the tetrafluoroethylene board rubber support. Besides vertical stiffness and elastic deformation, it can bear vertical load and adapt to the rotation of beam end. Because the friction coefficient of PTFE plate is low, the beam end can slide left and right on the surface of PTFE plate, and the horizontal displacement is not limited. It is especially suitable for bridges with medium and small loads and large displacements, and can be used as movable bearings for large-span bridges with spans greater than 30m, simply supported continuous slab bridges and multi-span continuous beam bridges. It can be used as a sliding block when the top beam and T beam move transversely and the equipment slips greatly. Pot rubber bearing

The structural principle of the basin rubber bearing is to place the rubber block in a sealed steel basin. Under the three-dimensional stress condition, the reaction force is generated to bear the vertical load of the bridge. At the same time, the elasticity of rubber is used to meet the rotation of the beam end, and the horizontal displacement of the bridge superstructure is completed by the free sliding of the stainless steel plate welded on the upper seat plate and polytetrafluoroethylene.

Compared with plate rubber bearings, pot rubber bearings have the advantages of large bearing capacity, large allowable bearing displacement and flexible rotation. Therefore, the basin rubber bearing is especially suitable for long-span bridges and is the bearing of continuous beam bridges. Spherical rubber bearing is a new type of bridge bearing developed on the basis of basin rubber bearing. It is a special basin rubber bearing product composed of upper bearing plate, lower bearing plate, ball face plate, PTFE sliding plate (F4, spherical PTFE plate) and rubber ring.
