This is because there is a law for the absorption spectrum of light waves. The ultraviolet rays at 100-200nm have the maximum absorption and are absorbed. Ultraviolet rays actually act on genetic material, namely DNA. It plays a kind of actinic effect. The energy of ultraviolet photons is absorbed by base pairs in DNA, causing genetic material to mutate, causing bacteria to die immediately or unable to reproduce offspring, achieving sterilization. purpose.
