Acoustic laminated glass windows is uasually made of 2 or 3 layer of float glass or tempered glass laminated by PVB or SGP or EVA interlayer. Laminated Glass has a similar impact strength resistance to Annealed Float Glass. However, it does not shatter and spread when broken, instead remains intact on its plastic or resin interlayer, protecting people from injury. This is why many building codes worldwide require laminated glass.
Laminated glass is considered an A grade safety glass By using special interlayers and or heat treated glass it can have high strength. In combination with printed, coloured or special inserts, it can also be used to create Decorative Effects.
