The density of asphalt pavement is directly proportional to the dielectric constant of the measured material.The gtj-2701 USES an innovative, spiral-shaped magnetic field detector to test the dielectric constant in the presence of a magnetic field generated by the sensor plate.
The electronic components of the gtj-2701 convert the field signal into a material density reading displayed on the screen.Once the instrument is calibrated, the density can be read at once.

1.starting up
Turn on the power switch on the left side, the backlight of the display screen of the instrument will flash once, which is also the sound of "drop" of the internal buzzer, and then the instrument will start self-test and start.

1). Once calibrated, the gtj-2701 can be used for each construction site and asphalt mixture. Recommendations are based on average measurements Method, take 5 or more readings at each construction site.
2). Keep the lower part of the instrument clean and dry. To obtain accurate readings, the contact surface between the instrument and the asphalt shall be clean, dry and flat Slippery. Therefore, the probe surface should be cleaned and dried after each reading.
3) when placing the instrument on the asphalt pavement, check whether there are scattered sundries on the asphalt surface to ensure that the instrument is placed correctly. if The probe surface is formed into asphalt blocks, which are wiped clean with diluent.
4) select a dry test site. Although the instrument has humidity correction function, if the humidity level of the test site is relatively low,You get a more accurate reading. If the test site is visibly wet, it is best to wait for the moisture to evaporate or to wipe dry with a absorbent cloth.
5. Observe suspicious readings
If an abnormal reading is found, check for possible test errors (dirty or wet surface, low voltage) to retake the reading. An accurate reading can be obtained if the humidity remains relatively constant. If the humidity is high or one percentage point below the previous reading, the readings obtained are inaccurate. Do not touch the instrument when testing. Any part of the instrument will affect the reading during the test.
