Socket welded flange refers to the pipe end inserted into the flange ring ladder, welded at the pipe end and the outside flange. There are two kinds with and without neck. The flange with neck has good rigidity, small welding deformation and good tightness. It can be used in the situation of 1.0~10.0MPa pressure. Type B flanges for vessels are also socket welded flanges, which are used for sealing occasions with higher requirements. In design, socket welded flange can be checked according to the integral flange.
