The Ductile Iron Socketed Pipe Fittings T type collar is favoured for below ground pipelines such as distribution mains and sewage line applications.
Quick and easy to install, requiring no special backfill the socket spigot joint is capable of angular deflection and longitudinal withdrawal without loss of performance. Other advantages are high strength for assured security, able to operate at 60-bar pressure (depending on nominal bore).
All pressure waterworks pipelines with this type of fittings may require restraint particularly where a change of direction or the blanking-off of an end occurs; in these instances the use of a concrete thrust block is common practise.
We supply (separately) EPDM gaskets for water, EPDM Anchor gaskets for higher pressure water and nitrile for sewage.
