The green silicon carbide grit is mainly used as sandblasting medium for abrasive tool manufacturing and surface treatment.

Surface treatment: grinding cemented carbide, hard and brittle metal and non-metallic materials - quartz glass, optical glass, piezoelectric ceramics etc.

The green silicon carbide powder can be used for precise grinding of hard glass, slicing of monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon rods, precise grinding of monocrystalline silicon wafers, processing of superhard metals, processing of soft metals such as copper and copper alloys, and processing of various resin materials.

Application of Green Silicon Carbide

1. It can be used as consolidation and coating abrasives, free grinding and polishing, etc. It is suitable for making grinding wheel, oil stone, sandpaper, abrasive cloth, building grinding head, etc.

2. The abrasive tools made of green silicon carbide are suitable for processing materials with high hardness and brittleness. Their hardness is between corundum and diamond, and their mechanical strength is higher than that of corundum. Suitable for grinding cylinder liners, valves, nozzles, oil pumps, bearings, cast iron, cemented carbide, titanium alloy and precision grinding high-speed steel cutting tools.

3. It can be also used for cutting, grinding and polishing optical glass, ceramics, crystals, electronics, crystals, silicon, germanium, stone, agate and high-grade jewellery and jades and other brittle non-metallic materials, high-grade decorative materials, heating elements and thermal elements.

4. It can be used as external wall coatings for various outdoor buildings, coatings of various non-ferrous metal objects, treatment of various tail gas, etc..

5. It can be used as the first layer of lining material in high melting point alloy investment casting shell.
