XLPE PVC Industrial Copper Electrical Power Cable Wires
Power cables are cables used to transmit and distribute electrical energy. Power cables are often used in urban underground power grids, power station outlets, internal power supply for industrial and mining enterprises, and under-sea water transmission lines.
Power cables are used to transmit and distribute high-power electrical energy in the trunk lines of power systems, including 1-500KV and above various voltage levels and various insulated power cables.
Technical Performance
1. PVC insulated cable conductor maximum temperature rating of 70 ℃, when a short circuit occurs (the longest duration of no more than 5S), the conductor temperature does not exceed 160 ℃.
2. The maximum rated temperature of XLPE insulated cable conductor is 90 ℃, short (the longest duration of no more than 5S) occurs, the conductor temperature does not exceed 250 ℃.
3. when installing PVC insulated or jacketed cable ambient temperature not below 0 ℃.
4.Perfect chemical stability, resistant against acids, alkali, grease and organic solvents, and flamer retardant.

Classification of voltage levels
1. Low-voltage cable: (0.6/1KV) Single Core Multi-Core Copper or aluminium conductor, Steel tape armored, galvanized steel wire armored or unarmored; PVC outer sheath.
*suitable for fixed laying on power transmission and distribution lines with AC 50Hz and rated voltage 3kv and below for power transmission.
2. Medium and low voltage cables: (1KV~35KV)Multi-cores, copper tape armored or copper wire screen, Galvanized steel wire armored, PVC insulated cables, polyethylene insulated cables, XLPE insulated cables, PVC or PE sheath.
3. High-voltage cables: (35KV~220KV)Copper or aluminium conductor, Metal sheath (lead or corrugated aluminium), polyethylene cables and XLPE insulated cables, HDPE or PVC outer sheath power cable.Divided by insulation material
1.Plastic insulated power cable
Commonly used plastics are polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene. The plastic cable has a simple structure, convenient manufacturing and processing, light weight, and convenient installation and installation, and is not restricted by the installation drop. Therefore, it is widely used as medium and low voltage cables.
2. Rubber insulated power cable
The insulating layer is made of rubber and various compounding agents. After being fully mixed, it is extruded and wrapped on a conductive wire core and vulcanized by heating. It is soft and flexible, suitable for occasions with frequent movements and small bending radius.

Specification for installation, operation and laying of power cables
1. direct burial cable, generally use armored cable, direct embedment depth of not less than 0.7m
2. The net distance for the installation of cables of 10kV and below should be ≥0.1M, the net distance for the installation of cables of 10kV and above should be ≥0.25m, and the net distance between cross-installation of cables should be ≥0.5m
3. When the cable is close to the thermal pipeline (including oil pipeline), the electrical clearance should be not less than 2m; when crossing, the electrical clearance should be not less than 0.5m;
4. When the cable is directly buried, there must be a good soil layer at the bottom of the cable trough without stones or other hard debris. Otherwise, a 100mm thick layer of soft soil or sand should be laid. After laying the cable, it should be covered with a 100mm thick layer of soft soil or sand, and then covered with a concrete protection board. The width of the cable on both sides of the diameter should exceed 50mm.
5. When the cable leads from the ground or cable trench to the ground, the part 2m above the ground shall be protected by a metal pipe or cover, and its root shall be 0.1M underground.
6. When installing a cable with an external shield, the semi-conductive shield must be removed from the terminals and the insulation must not be damaged during operation. The copper strip and steel strip at the end of the cable must be well grounded. The grounding lead-out wire should be a tin-plated textile copper wire. When connecting to the cable copper strip, chrome iron tin soldering should be used.
7. The crane must be loaded or unloaded with a crane or forklift. Do not carry or lay cables horizontally. The installation of large cables must use cable laying equipment.
8. The end of the cable should be sealed to prevent erosion by water and other corrosive materials.
