Application: 

This apparatus is used to test resisting shear strength of soil specimen. 

The direct shear apparatus is driven by a stepper motor and controlled by

a microprocessor system, with load cell and linear electronic transducers 

to operate independently and perform standard or cyclic tests. Programmed

by keyboard input and obtaining all data concerning load, and horizontal 

displacements from the display.
