PTFE Coated Fabrics Introductions
PTFE coated fabrics are made by fiberglass fabric impregnated with PTFE dispersion on one side or two sides, the material combines advantages of PTFE and main features of woven fiberglass fabric.
Typical properties of PTFE are nonstick and temperature resistance, PTFE coating makes the fabric 100% nonstick to any object under low and high temperature between -73-260 ℃(-100-500℉). The strong multiply carbon-fluorine bonding structure of PTFE makes it high resistance to solvents, acids, and bases. PTFE is also one of the lowest coefficients of friction, suitable for applications where need excellent abrasion resistance.
Fiberglass yarn has high strength while lightweight, it is twice as strong as steel wire and more cost-effective compared to other synthetic fabric.
Industrial PTFE Coated Fabrics
Industrial PTFE coated fabrics contain medium level of PTFE coating, designed to be used in applications where the economy is more important than heat resistance and release property. The material also resists high temperature up to 260℃(500℉), is chemical resistant, outstanding dielectric property and dimension stable, the surface of industrial PTFE coated fabrics are divided into smooth and textured touchable.

Thinner industrial PTFE coated fabrics are using the same code of fiberglass fabric as
premium PTFE coated fabric, but with lower content of PTFE coating, the texture type is widely used as release sheet for heat sealing and heat pressing where need fabricate impression on the product, smooth type is used as cover sheet for T-shirt heat press transfer machine and laminating machines.
Thick industrial PTFE coated fiberglass are using higher strength fiberglass yarn to weave into heavy-duty ptfe coated fiberglass fabric which can be in extra wide width, the material has excellent release property and much longer lifetime. The main application is making into heat resistant conveyor belts and release sheets for baking, curing and vulcanizing of carpet.
