Hastelloy C-22 has the following properties:
Hastelloy C22 is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including Hastelloy C276, C4, and 625. Hastelloy C22 alloy has good resistance to pitting, slot corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent antioxidant properties as a water medium, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or a mixture of oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. At the same time, the Hastelloy C22 alloy also has the ideal resistance to the reductive and oxidizing environments encountered during the process. With this versatile capability, it can be used in some frustrating environments, or in a variety of production target factories. Hastelloy C22 alloy has exceptional resistance to a variety of chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, thermal pollution solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, sea water and salt solutions. Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist grain boundary precipitation in the welding heat affected zone, which makes it suitable for many chemical applications in the welding state.
Application scope of Hastelloy c-22:
Hastelloy C22 alloys are widely used in chemical and petrochemical applications such as components and catalytic systems that are exposed to chlorinated organics.
