Introduction to Globe Control Valve
The globe control valve is a compulsory sealed valve, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the disc to force the sealing surface to not leak. When the medium enters the valve 6 from below the valve disc, the resistance to be overcome by the operating force is the frictional force of the valve stem and the packing and the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. At the same time, this type of valve is also tight under the action of the medium. China's valve has stipulated that the flow direction of the globe control valve will be used from top to bottom.
When the globe control valve is opened, when the opening height of the valve disc is 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter, the flow has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the shut-off valve should be determined by the stroke of the valve disc. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.

Globe control valve advantages:
1. Simple structure, easy to manufacture and maintain.
2. Small working stroke and short opening and closing time.
3. Good sealing performance, small friction between sealing surfaces and long life.
Disadvantages of globe control valve:
1. The fluid resistance is large, and the force required when opening and closing is large.
2. Not suitable for media with particles, large viscosity and easy to coke.
3. Poor regulation performance.
