Green silicon carbide
Green silicon carbide is green, containing more than 97% SiC, crystal structure, high hardness, strong cutting ability, stable chemical properties, good thermal conductivity.
The microcosmic shape is hexagonal crystal, the mohs hardness of silicon carbide is 9.5, the microhardness is 3280--3400kg/mm2, and the specific gravity is 3.20 ~ 3.25. Its hardness is between corundum and diamond, and its mechanical strength is higher than that of corundum. Green silicon carbide is made of petroleum coke and high quality silica as main raw materials, adding salt as additive, and smelting by resistance furnace at high temperature.
