Working principle

The plate and frame filter press is composed of plate, a filter frame, a filter plate, a pressing plate and a pressing device, and the appearance is similar to that of the box filter press. The materials for manufac-turing the plates and frames are metal, wood, engineering plastics and rubber, etc., and various types of filter plate surface grooves are used as drainage channels, and the filter frame is hollow. Multiple filter plates and filter frames are arranged alternately. The filter medium (such as filter cloth) is sandwiched between the plate and the frame. The filter frame and the filter plate pass through two ears, which are placed on two equal beams in the horizontal direction, and one end is a fixed plate. The pressure plate at one end is pressed or pulled apart by the pressing device during operation. The filter press feeds and discharges the filtrate through channels or plates on the corners of the plates and frames and the lugs that extend from both sides of the frame. The discharge mode of the filtrate is divided into two types: clear flow and dark flow. During the filtration process, the filter cake is collected in the frame. The working pressure of the general plate and frame filter press is 0.3~0.5MPa, and the working pressure of the filter press is1~2MPa.
