A base material of anode for niobium metal is mesh,plate,bar,filamentous and tubular.Standard platinum layer thickness of 2-5um.At the request of the higher,platinum layer thickness up to 20um.Platinized titanium anode life depends on the working medium (the electrolyte) and the anode current density (current density). Current density should not exceed 75A/dm2. Less than this value, the wear of the platinum layer is small, the life of the anode can also be estimated. According to experience, fluorine chromium plating bath, each of the one million Amperes wear layer is approximately 1-4 hours of grams of platinum. When the current density is higher than 75A/dm2 or the use of fluoride electrolyte, we recommend using platinized niobium anode (see platinized niobium anode).
