1.1 classification of hazardous areas in explosive gas environment
Different countries and regions, according to their own standards to divide the explosion risk areas. According to the frequency and duration of the occurrence of explosive gas mixture in China, the explosive gas environment is divided into O zone, 1 zone and 2 zone. (in line with IEC international electrotechnical committee)
Zone 0: continuous or long-term explosive gas mixture environment.
Zone 1: an environment where explosive gas mixtures may occur during normal operation.
Zone 2: an environment where an explosive gas mixture is unlikely to occur during normal operation or where the presence of such an explosive gas mixture is short-lived.
Generally, zone 0 only exists in sealed containers, storage tanks and other internal gas space. In the actual design process, zone 1 rarely exists, and most cases belong to zone 2.
