An ABC designation on a fire extinguisher means it will extinguish different types of fires. The"A"classification means the chemicals contained within the fire extinguisher are suitable  for paper is  based substances. Fire refers to fires caused by the burning of common solid combustibles, such as  wood and its products, cotton, clothing, grain, synthetic fibers, synthetic plastics, synthetic rubber,  building materials, clothing materials, etc.;
