The outside coating damaged during welding shall be repaired by metallizing (spraying molten zinc wire). The inside weld area damaged during welding shall be left unprotected.

The exterior and interior surface shall have a combined zinc weight ranging from 0.60 oz/sq ft (or 0.45 oz/sq ft each side) to 1.20 oz/sq ft (or 0.60 oz/sq ft each side). These coating weights do not apply to the inside welded area.
