   The Maxi Flow Rate 2 (L/S) Vakuum Pump Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump 220V For Vacuum Oven

Product Description
Two Stage Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is mainly composed of the pump body, rotor, rotary vane, end cover, spring, etc. Installing a rotor in rotary vane pump cavity, the rotary vane vacuum pump outer circumference of the rotor is tangent to the inner surface of the pump chamber, the rotor slot inner is fitted with two rotary vanes with springs. When 2XZ-2 Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is rotating, centrifugal force and the spring tension makes the top of rotary vane keep contact with the pump chamber wall, the double stage rotary vane vacuum pump rotating rotor drives the rotary vane to slide along the inner wall of the pump cavity.

Features of Two-Stage 2XZ-2 Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump:
1. The 2XZ series rotary vane vacuum pump (dry rotary vane vacuum pump)belongs to two-stage direct connection structure rotary vane vacuum pump, which can be used for drying, sealing the container and other ancillary pumping air or net vacuum equipment.
2. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, low noise, convenient for using and more.
3. The 2XZ series Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump cannot be used as the compression type delivery pump.

What is the difference between Rotary Vane and Diaphragm vacuum pumps?

The two most common types are rotary vane or diaphragm pumps – but what do these mean and what is the difference?

Rotary Vane Pumps

Rotary Vane pumps use moving vanes to move volumes of gas through the system and out of the outflow. The stages of operation are shown in the diagram below;

This mode of operation means that they require oil in the system, to lubricate the moving parts and to create a seal so the gases are isolated. As such Rotary Vane pumps do require more regular maintenance such as changing the oil. Many models feature a sight glass to quickly view the oil and gauge when it needs changing.

Rotary Vane pumps can achieve much lower vacuums than diaphragm pumps, so are often used in more demanding applications such as with glove boxes or freeze dryers.

Diaphragm Pumps

Diaphragm pumps are usually oil-free and low maintenance. They work by moving a flexible diaphragm which forces air in through one side and out the other by control valves, as shown below;

freeze drying, process engineering and more. A rotary vane pump works via positive displacement, which is when volumes of air or gas are confined within a closed space and are compressed when space is mechanically reduced.

This operation does not require oil so there is less maintenance required. The diaphragm may need replacing annually or even less often depending on usage.

Diaphragm pumps do not achieve as low vacuums as Rotary Vane pumps but are a popular choice for everyday use with filtrations, desiccators, and aspiration of waste liquid in microbiology. More massive diaphragm pumps are also available to use with rotary evaporators or vacuum ovens.

Care should be taken when choosing a Diaphragm Pump on the diaphragm material – those with PTFE seals have better chemical resistance and can be used even when acidic or solvent vapors are present – they are often called “chemical duty” pumps. Some more basic models are only suitable for working with aqueous (water-based) vapors, these are commonly used for essential filtration work
