A106 class B tube ASTM A106 Class B Seamless Pressure Pipe (ASME SA106) is used in power plants, boilers, petrochemical plants, oil and gas refineries, and ships where pipelines must transport fluids and gases with high pressures and temperatures. Please note that ASTM International (formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)) is inconsistent with ASME's specifications for Class B seamless pressure piping. ASTM A106 Class B pipes and ASME SA 106 Class B pipes now have an acceptable proportion of manganese in different specification ranges.
