Due to its strength, durability and flow characteristics, our support grid systems are widely used in hydrogenation reactors, desulfurization reactors, molecular sieves, gas desulfurization reactors and other absorption systems.
Among these innovations, a flat screen is commonly used for downcomers or upwelling systems to retain expensive media and to provide collection area for process fluids along the diameter or length of the entire container. Our catalyst support grid can be used for strict dielectric support conditions and can be maintained for a long period of time, realizing a number of benefits:
1. High mechanical strength: Our support grid is made of V-shape wire and support rod that are specially welded on large welding machine. Even in processes such as hydrocracking and desulfurization reactors, it can easily withstand collapse or bending.( In these reactors, the support grid must bear a load of 350 kpa or more.)
2. Accurate medium retention: gap width as small as 0.05 mm, reliable retention of fine catalysts, resins or molecular sieves. Although the width of the grid gap is small, the support grid has a larger total area of opening than the device with ordinary wire mesh.
3. A stable surface: Unlike a common screen, the Johnson screen support grid can hold the media directly without the need for an inert ball intermediate layer. The smooth surfaces of these Johnson screen support grid can also reduce wear.
