The VDL 800 cnc vertical machining center is a collection of the latest development results of the world's CNC Machine tool industry and advanced manufacturing technology, and represents the development trend of the modern machine tool technology. The VDL 800 is equipped with high-accuracy Roller Guide(X, Y, and Z). The machine features with the rigid structure, which is done through iterative simulation and computation of engineering mechanics, aiming to achieve the compact structural design and the engineering requirements of high rigidity and high quality. The machine not only performances the machining of flat-type, plate-type, spherical and high-accuracy workpieces and also is capable of molding. The machine is equipped with automatic tool changing system (ATC), automatic lubricating system, automatic cooling system, full-enclosed guard, automatic chip conveyor, manual oil gun and Manual Pulse Generator (MPG). Milling, boring, drilling, reaming and tapping can be performed in one set-up. The machine has characteristics of high-Automation, reliability, convenience, easy operation, suitability and handsome appearance together with heavy duty. The machine is widely used in various industries of military, aviation, car manufacturing and molding.
1. The basic parts, including in machine floor, column, spindle box, cross slide and work-table, are casted with high rigidity cast-iron, so that guarantees s stable structure and ever high quality. The casting structure is analyzed with using Engineering Mechanics and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods by ANSYS to facilitate the fitted structure and casting rib design, which guarantees the rigidity of basic parts. The spacious floor, box-shape column and strong cross slide for work support ensure the heavy duty operation.
2. High-speed, high-accuracy spindle:
3. X, Y, Z axes are all equipped with Roller Guide and high-precision ballscrew which is pre-tensioned to enhance the rigidity to eliminate the deformation, which is caused by the high temperature as the spindle rotating at high speed.
The motion of the spindle box (Z-axis) is supported by a perpendicular equilibrating device which guarantees that even when the machine is operating at full speed, there won’t be any vibration occurs on the counterbalance. The ratio of the counterbalance and spindle box is precisely measured to satisfy the optimum operating condition, which guarantees the fine load characteristics of Z-axis motor.
4. Horizontal tool magazine with the capacity of holding 16 BT40 tools is near to tool selecting point, both electric and pneumatic controlled, pollutionless, easily maintainable, quick tool change and stable. The cam-type automatic manipulator tool magazine (24-tool) saves time with quicker tool change time.(optional)
5. The machine is equipped with full-guard and good-looking, waterproof, safe and also environment-friendly. Full-closed guideway guard is purchased from Taiwan, which guarantees the life of moving parts. The machine is also equipped with spiral chip conveyor and automatic chip flushing system to facilitate the easy, safe and reliable, quick chip removal to keep the machine clean, convenient and neat.
6. The standard control system is FANUC Oi-M and the Mitsubishi is optional. The CNC offers interfaces for 4th axis driver, work and tool measuring devices, standard RS-232 and DNC.
7. High-efficiency automatic lubricating system: Guide lubrication is adopted volume distributor with oiling to provide the guide with fixed quantity oil to reduce the oil-wasting and avoid oil-pollution.
8. The fine designed water-oil filter system: Given the need for water-oil filtration, at the backside of the floor, a dirty oil tank is placed to recycle the waste oil from guide lubrication and then through the filtration system, the cutting fluid will be refined to reduce the mixture in the cutting fluid to guarantee longer life for cutting fluid.
9. Inside electric panel box, all wirings are strictly according to CE standards to ensure smooth operation without disturbance of nearby environment of the machine. The machine also adopts heat- transmitter to vent out the extra heat inside panel box to ensure the long-hour operation of the machine.
10. High-precision laser interferometer feedback system is employed to guarantee the high-precision and high-accuracy of the pitch interpolation, which makes the machine suitable for high-accuracy machining.
