Cutter Suction Dredger is self-propelled or non self-propelled, portable cutter suction dredger. Hull can be dismantled and re-assemble easily with box structure . equipped with horizontal shifting devices,Cutter ladder lifting devices, spud devices, deck crane and so on. Widely used in sand-excavating, river dredging, channel maintenance and broaden,desilting,blow fields stretched, port construction, etc.

2.Main component    

1).Main engine    Every Highling Dredger is equipped with the following world class disel engine, such as Cummins , Caterpillar, DEUTZ MAN-WMW,  Weichai and so on,  which can be guaranteed the after-sale service all over the world. Customers can choose any one according to their requirements!

2).Dredging pump   The dredge pump is high efficiency made from wear resistant casting impeller and liners fitted on heavy duty shaft and high quality roller bearings. The impeller is fitted on the shaft by trapezoid thread directly machine on the shaft end. The shaft sealing is a water cooled sealing that can be replaced after wear life

3).Cutter Head   The cutter motor is hydraulic driven low speed and high torque heavy duty design. The cutter motor is mounted on the cutter front piece on the ladder end. A special cover is provided to protect the motor from damage due to sand, rocks and debris. The cover can be removed for easy inspection and maintenance.

4).Hydraulic  Winches   For hosting the ladder, a lift  winch is provided on the front of the main pontoon mounted on a stiffened foundation.  For ladder side pull, two winches are provided on the front of the main pontoon mounted on a stiffened foundation.The winch is hydraulically driven through a reduction gearbox build  in the winch structure. The winch has  a  disc brake which  is automatically  activated  in case of pressure drop. The winch is operated from the control cabin and has one fixed speed.

5). Hydraulic Spud Lifting Cylinders  

For each spud one spud lifting cylinder is provided with a steel cable for lifting the spud and repositioning the dredge. Each cylinder is connected to the main pontoon by ball bearing. The cylinder is kept vertically by a cylinder holder allowing the free movement of the cylinder. On top of each cylinder a sheave is provided for guiding the spud hoisting cable.

6).Spuds  The dredger is moved by alternate swing of the spuds. The spuds are lifted by the hydraulic cylinder.

7). Hydraulic System  

All components except dredge pump are hydraulic driven by  hydraulic power units.  The hydraulic  pumps  are driven and powered  by the  auxiliary (hydraulic) engine. Hydraulic execution unit as follow: Cutter head drive,  Ladder winch drive,  Side winch drives,  Spud hoisting cylinders.
