8 kinds of double-layer forming fabric consists of a set of weft and two sets of warp fiber, which enables fine fibers to be retained at the top, while the use of thicker fibers at the bottom helps to obtain better paper forming characteristics (such as no traces, saving operation time). This has more dimensional stability than the single-layer forming fabric design.

The sixteen kinds of double-layer forming fabric has created a new concept to improve the service life of fabric without affecting the quality of paper. It is usually used in the production of writing paper and kraft paper machine.
