Four Standards of Good Diamond Burs

1.  Raw Material of the Emery Particle.

There are 4 grades emery particle in this industry: I grade, II grade, III grade, IV grade.

I grade: Angular, very sharp, but not wearable. This grade emery particle can damage some parts in the motor.

II grade: not sharp and not wearable.

III grade:  between I grade and II grade, which is sharp and wearable. Belldental choose III grade emery particle to make the diamond burs.

IV grade: not angular and not sharp.

Bad manufacturers usually choose mixture of I, II, III grades, so the emery particle is of different sizes, which will result in very bad polishing and burs-shaking violently when working.

2. The Electroplating.

Belldental`s electroplating is even, 1/2 emery particle comes out of the electroplating, which is of best performance.

Bad diamond burs: 1/3 or 2/3 emery particle comes out.  1/3 is not firm, the emery particles fall easily. 2/3 will cause lower cutting force.

3. Testing.

Belldental uses destructive testing, our diamond burs can wear through 2mm 303 stainless steel within 2 and a half minute to 3 minutes. Besides, the emery particles on our burs are no different under the microscope after cutting. Bad diamond bur cannot wear through the same steel using same time, only can wear half, and the surface of the steel is very rough just like the surface of the moon ater cutting.

4. Coverage of the Emery particles

Good diamond burs (Belldental):  Coverage of the emery particles is 90%, efficient polishing and good cutting force.

Bad diamond burs: Coverage of the emery particles is around 50%-60%, lower polishing and cutting force.

We can find in the picture that the bur from Henan province has many problems.

Whole observation:: the emery particle covers seriously uneven, the edge is not a straight line,  which will result in very bad polishing and burs-shaking violently.

1. The emery particle and electroplating donnot be covered on the stainless steel body, which will cause big pieces eletroplating fall.

2. The emery covers each other, the upper emery covers the lower emery, which can lead to big pieces emery falling.

3. 1/3 emery comes out of the eletroplating, the emery will be separated from the electroplating when working.

As a contrast, we can find the perforce of Belldental's diamond  burs

Whole observation: the emery particles covers very even on the the whole bur, 90% coverage, tiny gaps, uniform sizes, a straight line of the edge. The emery particle and the electroplating combine at 1/2 site, perfect concentricity, lasting cutting force, efficient polishing and good stability.

We can find in the picture that the bur from Taiwan has many problems, too.

Whole observation: the emery particles are of varying sizes, and only about 60% emery coverage on the steel body, which will result in very bad polishing and burs-shaking violently when working.

1.The emery particle and electroplating is almost not combination, the emery will fall even before using.

2. No emery particle on the site. If the teeth contact with this site, there will be no cutting force.
