General Description
55% Al Zinc (Galvalume)steel coil is is a hot dipped zinc /aluminium alloy coated steel with cold rolled steel coil of various strengths and thicknesses as base material and with regular spangle surface. It made by 55% Al, 43.4% Zinc and 1.6% Si at the high temperature of 600℃, and its entire structure of aluminium-ferrum-silicon-zinc , which forms a alloy of compact four element crystal. have the excellent performance of corrosion resisting and heat reflection and economy.
Applications
*Construction
Roofing, Doors&Windows,Roller Shutter Door, Framework ect.
*Home Appliance
Refrigerator Pedestal, Refrigerated storage, Kitchen Equipment ect
*Automotive& Boats Industry
Body Shell, Pedestal, Oil tank ect
*Base Material of Colored Coated Coil
Comparison of Galvanized and Galvalume
1.Corrosion Resistance
Atmospheric exposure test results throughout world, proved that under the condition of same coating thickness, the corrosion resistance of 55% AL Zinc steel coil is higher 3-6 times than galvanized steel coil.
2.Resistance to high temperatures.
Comparison of 55%Al Zinc steel coil and galvanized steel coil,
55% Al Zinc steel coil have excellent high temperature oxidation and heat reflection. And have certain heat resistance. Normally, the appearance does not change significantly at 300 degrees temperatures.
Maximum use temperature(Appearance Nondiscoloration ):
1) Galvanized steel coil: 230℃.
2) 55% Al Zinc steel coil: 316℃.
3. Heat reflection
The heat reflection of 55% Al Zinc steel coil is better than galvanized steel coil. Which can reflect 80% of heat energy in sunlight. For cladding and roofing . can achieve energy saving effect.
4. Formability
55% Al Zinc alloy coating has a higher hardness than zinc coating, but it have strong adhesion to base material. So as long as it is operated according to the regulations. It can obtain the same formability as galvanized steel coil.
5. Paintability
55% Al Zinc steel coil is most suitable for coating applications. It is unique coating organization can provide excellent coating adhesion and good ductility. Provide the most outstanding performance.
6. Weldability
55% Al Zinc coating have 55% Al content. The welding conditions more strict than galvanized steel coil.

Remark:
1. imperfections such as small pits, variations in spangle size, dark spots, stripe marks , light passivation
stains ,stretch leveling breaks, skin pass marks, scratches, zinc run off marks are permissible on surface.
2. chemical passivation protects the surface against humidity and reduces the risk of formation of “white rust” during transportation and storage, local discolouring as a result of this treatment is permissible and does not impair the quality.
3. Oiling also reduces the risk of corrosion of the surface.
4. Resin Coated offers additional corrosion protection by transparent organic film. Specially protection against anti-fingerprint
Package
Storage Transportation and Loading /unloading
Storage:
1) keep the product dry.
2) Store the product in a dry and well ventilated area preferably indoors. to avoid condensation and moisture penetration. Store the productions in a roofed storage area.
3) Don’t put the products where they could be exposed to sand and dust. If sand or dust build up on a sheet.they can damage zinc or paint coatings, sand and dust also hinder drying and thus promote white rust formation.
4) Don’s stack sheets or coils excessively high. This is important for safety as well as for the prevention of sheet deformation or other damage. Inventory terms should be as short as possible(Within 6 month)
Transport and Loading/unloading:
1) Don’t push the cut sheets or roll the coil with a forklift. Since this could cause scratching.
2) When transporting coil in a truck, care should be taken to protect the coil surfaces against damage. Using preferably. A rubber sheet beneath the coil or an exclusive transport stand.
3) When transporting coils. Firmly fix the stacked sheets so that they do not slip off due to vibration.
