The self-unloading ship adopts a self-unloading system with belt conveyor as the main body. The cargo space turns a hopper shape, unloads cargo from the hopper gate by the role of gravity, can feed cargo from the cargo hopper mouth to a ring-shape belt machine through pulling the hopper by man, by hydraulic pressure or pneumatic pressure, then lifts to the height of the deck and finally delivers the cargo through the conveyor belt on the unloading arm to the storage yard of receiving device on the bank.
The self-unloading ship mainly depends on high unloading efficiency and rapid turnover speed to obtain good economic benefits, but has low requirements to channels, also can greatly reduce cost invested in equipment in the unloading dock, therefore, it is very popular!
