RTD Sensor Temperature Sensor
RTD, also Resistance Temperature Detector,or resistive thermal devices, thermal resistance temperature measurement.
Principle
The principle is based on the resistance value of a conductor or semiconductor as the temperature changes and changes in the characteristics.
Types
Commonly used industrial heat resistance Pt100, Pt1000, Cu50, Cu100, platinum RTD temperature measurement range is typically 200-800 degrees Celsius below zero, the thermal resistance of copper minus 40-140 degrees Celsius.
Advantages:
1.You can also remote electrical signal, high sensitivity, stability, interchangeability and accuracy are better.
2. RTD do not need connection wire, and cheaper than thermocouple.
3. Response Time: Response time is the sensors ability to react to temperature changes in the process. The ability to track process changes depends on the sensors thermal mass and proximity to the process. Direct immersion sensors generally are the fastest responding, but in many applications a thermowell is used so that the process does not have to be drained to change a sensor.

PT100 RTD Sensor
lPT100 temperature sensor is a platinum (Pt) made of a resistance temperature detector, its resistance changes with temperature change.
lWhen the PT100 at 0 degrees Celsius, it has a resistance of 100 ohms, its resistance as the temperature rises from approximately uniform growth.
lBut the relationship between them is not a simple proportional relationship, but more should be close to a parabola.
Components
Common pt100 temperature sensing element have
ceramic components,
glass components,
mica elements,
which are respectively made of platinum wire wound on a ceramic skeleton, the skeleton of glass, mica skeleton and then processed through a complex process.
