EVA is a Co-Polymer of Ethylene and Vinyl Acetate. The foam is closed cell and impervious to liquids. The vinyl acetate gives the foam a more “rubbery”, resilient feel to its Polyethylene foam counterpart at the same density. Some call Polyethylene foam, EVA as they are so alike.

 

It is a polymer that approaches elastomeric materials in softness and flexibility, yet can be processed like other thermoplastics.

 

There are 3 main densities as standard and readily available

 

Coloured Foams or Colour Foams are available

 

35Kg/m3 blue, 50Kg/m3 grey and 125Kg/m3 black (colours in 2mm). A 30Kg/m3 with more EVA additive in (really soft grade) is also available in black
