Hollow glass is composed of two or more pieces of glass connected by an aluminum frame filled with desiccating agent, space between each two of them is filled with dried air or inertia gas, and edges of the glass and the aluminum frame is filled with sealant or structural adhesive.
Just because of a drier air layer closed and free from convection in the hollow glass, it plays the role of sound and heat insulation, no frosting and dew formation at a temperature of 40 DEG C below zero and energy conservation.
Features:
Optical Performance: By different properties of combined glass, commonly, the visible light transmission range is 10-80%, and the reflectivity is 13-35%.
Thermostability: It can lower the U value of coefficient of heat transmission, and it would be more effective if the inertia gas is filled.
Sound Insulation: Commonly, hollow glass can make noise lower, but it will get another decrease of 5db on the original basis by filling the inertia gas, i.e. quiet 45db from 80db traffic noise.
Tightness: One-time formation of automatic bending technology for aluminum frame greatly reduces its connections, the dual tightness of butyl and polysulfide or structural adhesive provides assured tightness and prolonged lifespan.
Dew Prevention:
Absolutely dried air layer of the hollow glass drives dews away.
