DSHD-2801E Penetrometeris designed and developed as per the National Standard of People's Republic ofChina GB/T4509 “Test Methods for Penetration of Asphalt” and T0604 “AsphaltPenetration Test”in the Industry Standard of People’s Republic ofChina,JTJ052-2000 Specification and Test Methods of Bitumen and BituminousMixture for Highway Engineering”.
2. DSHD-2801E Penetrometeris applied to determine the penetration of petroleumasphalt, modified asphalt,and theresidue of liquid petroleum asphalt or emulsified asphalt after evaporation. Thestandard testing condition is described as follows:
3.DHSD-2801E Penetrometercan also be used to inspect solidgranule, powder, colloid, freezingsubstance and other materials, as well as cheese, glycine, butter, cream,fermentation, and other food materials. The instrument has been widely appliedto food industry, transportationdepartment, and other industries.
4.The penetration of asphaltis expressed as the depth that a standard needle of 100 g±0.05 g verticallypenetrates into asphalt sample without obvious friction in a constanttemperature bath of 25 ℃±0.1 ℃. The instrument is suitable for evaluating theconsistency of asphalt. The greater the penetration is, the less consistency ofthe asphalt is and the softer the asphalt is.
