Sheath platinum RTD is a novel temperature sensor. It has the advantages such as slender form, quick heat response, vibration resistance, and high voltage withstanding, long use life. It forms a complete set with the display instrument. It may test or automatically adjust the temperature ranging from-200°C to 800°C. It is widely applied in the industrial departments and sic-tech fields such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, machinery, electric force, light textile, food, atomic energy, space flight etc. It is esp., fit for mounting in the narrow, bending pipelines or the special occasions with quick reaction or minimization.
The composition structure of the sheath platinum RTD
The outer appearances of the sheath platinum RTD are quite different according to their different use requirement. But their basic structures are approximately the same. It is usually composed of the main components such as sheath platinum RTD thermo sensitive elements, mounted fixing devices, connection boxes and so on.
Principle of action
The functional principle of the RTD is to measure the temperature as per the characteristic of the resistance changing in accordance with the substance temperature change. The heated part of the RTD (thermo sensitive elements) is evenly winded by the thin metal wires onto the skeleton which is made of ungrounded materials. When the temperature gradient exists in the measured media, the measured temperature is the average temperature amid the dielectrically layer within the thermo sensitive element range.
