The PRS crossed roller slewing ring bearings are built with V-groove raceways providing two roller paths in each ring. By alternating adjacent rollers at right angles to one another,one-half of the rollers half transmit loads in one direction with the other half transmitting loads in the other direction. These preloaded slewing rings can support higher loads than four point contact bearings. They have proved themselves particularly where bearings are subjected to high radial forces and moderate axial and tilting moment loads
